Ingredients:
Bitter Gourds - 1 kg
Tamarind - 200gms
Salt - 250gms
Red chilli powder - 250gms
Mustard powder- 100 gms
Menthi powder - 20 gms
oil - 1/2 kg
lemon - 10no.'s
Turmeric - 1 tsp
Method:
Wash and dry the bitter gourds and cut into thin round pieces. Grind the tamarind into paste using little hot water or lemon juice and add all the ingredients except oil. Heat the oil and cool it. Pour the oil into bitter gourd mixture. Mix it well. Store it in the air tight container for one month. This pickle is good for health and goes well with rice.
