Pappu - Pulusu

Ingredients:

Dal  - 100gms
Brinjal - 4 no.'s
Cucumber - 1 small
Drumstick - 1 no.
Onion - 1 no.
Tomatoes - 2 no.'s
Green Chillies - 3 no.'s
Sweet Potato - 1 small
Tamarind  - lemon size
jaggery - small piece
chilli powder - 1 tsp
turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste

For seasoning: oil, red chilli - 1, menthi seeds, mustard seeds, jeera, urad dal, channa dal (1/4 tsp each) and curry leaves.

Method:
Cook the dal and keep aside. Cut all the vegetables in to medium pieces. Extract juice from tamarind. Take the pressure cooker add all the ingredients except dal but add some cooked dal water it will enhance the taste. Wait for 3 vigils. Cook till the pulusu thickens then seasoning it.
This pulusu is very good with steamed rice, dal and ghee.
