Ingredients:
Ridge gourd - 500 gms
onion - 1 (chopped)
green chillies -2-3 (chopped)
red chilli powder - 1 tsp
salt to taste
turmeric - 1/2 tsp
oil - 2 tsp
milk - 1/2 cup
Seasoning ingredients: urad dal, channa dal, mustard seeds, cumin seeds - 1/4 each and curry leaves
Method:
Ridge gourd - 500 gms

Method:
- Peel and cut ridge gourd into small pieces
- Heat oil in kadai add seasoning ingredients and fry till mustard seeds crackles
- Then add onions, green chillies saute for 2 minutes
- Add ridge gourd pieces, salt, red chilli, turmeric and cook in slow flame( add little water if needed) till water evaporates
- Lastly add milk and cook for another 2 minutes
- Serve with rice and roti
