Channa dal and pumpkin curry

Ingredients:
Channa dal - 1 cup
Pumpkin - small piece
ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
onion - 1 (chopped)
green chillies - 3 (chopped)
garam masala - 1tsp
salt to taste
chilli powder - itsp
turmeric - 1/2 tsp
coriander and cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Oil - 1tbsp
cumin seeds - 1tsp
curry leaves


Method:

  • Soak channa dal for one hour
  • Peel and cut pumpkin into medium pieces
  • Heat oil in pressure cooker add cumin seeds and curry leaves
  • Add onions, green chillies, pumpkin pieces, ginger and garlic paste, mix and cook in slow flame for 5 minutes.
  • Add channa dal and 1/2- 1 glass water and keep the lid
  • Pressure cook for 3 whistles
  • Remove the lid add remaining ingredients and cook in slow flame till oil floats on curry
  • Garnish with coriander leaves
  • Serve with rice or roti
