Masala Vada

Ingredients:
Channa Dal - 2cups
Onion - 1 big
Green chillies -8
coriander leaves
mint leaves
ginger - small piece
curry leaves (optional)
salt to taste
Oil for frying


Method:


  • Soak the dal for 4 hours then grind to make coarse paste using very little water.
  • Finely chop onions, coriander leaves, mint leaves and coriander leaves.
  • Grind ginger and chillies to make paste.
  • Add all ingredients to dal and mix well.
  • take a small portion and make small flat vada.
  • Heat oil and fry vadas in medium flame till golden brown.
  • Serve hot with coconut chutney.
