Baked Egg Custard

Ingredients:
Milk - 1/2 litre
Eggs - 2
Sugar - 25 gms
Nutmeg grated

Method:

  • Heat the milk but do not let it boil.
  • Beat eggs and sugar together, then add the hot milk, stirring all the time..
  • Strain into greased oven proof dish, and grate little nutmeg on top.
  • Put the dish in another large dish containing cold water, and bake in slow oven  for 45 minutes to one hour, until set.
  • Serve.
