Oatmeal Drop Cookies

Ingredients:
Rolled oats – 2 cups
All purpose flour – 1 ¾ cup
Sugar – 1 ¼ cup
Shortening – ½ cup
Eggs – 2
Molasses – 1/3 cup
Baking soda – 1 tsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Cinnamon powder – 1 tsp
Raisins – 1 cup
Chopped nuts – ½ cup

Method:

  • ·         Heat oven to 400 D. mix shortening, sugar, eggs, and molasses thoroughly.
  • ·         Sieve flour, soda and salt together twice.
  • ·         Stir dry ingredients together and blend in.
  • ·         Stir in oats, nuts and raisins.
  • ·         Drop batter by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2” apart on lightly greased baking sheet.
  • ·         Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
