Ingredients:
Plain flour - 2 1/2 cups
Baking powder - 3 1/2 tsp
Caster sugar - 3 tbsp
Softened lard - 2 tbsp
Lukewarm water - 1/2 cup
White vinegar - 1/2 tsp
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Method:
- Sift flour and baking powder into a bowl, stir in sugar and rub in lard with fingertips until evenly distributed.
- Add water, vinegar and salt mixed together, and knead to a fairly soft dough. Shape into a smooth ball, cover and rest dough for 30 minutes.
